LEXUS ELECTRIFIED STUDIO

‍Canada’s First Lexus EV Showroom

When Lexus Canada set out to open the country’s first electric vehicle showroom, they weren’t looking for a typical dealership. They wanted a space that felt quiet, intentional, and distinctly Lexus - part future-forward EV experience, part nod to traditional Japanese design. Pacific Solutions Contracting came in to help make that vision real through custom architectural millwork, retail showroom construction, and on-the-fly problem solving as the design evolved. Clean lines. Hidden details. Precision where it counts.

Building a Different Kind of Automotive Showroom

Unlike a conventional dealership build, the Lexus Electrified Studio blends luxury retail construction with cultural storytelling. The goal: create a seamless environment that reflects Lexus’s electrified future while integrating traditional Japanese materials and spatial rhythm - without sacrificing durability for a high-traffic commercial setting. That meant designing solutions that looked delicate but performed like commercial-grade infrastructure.

Project Highlights ‍

Curved Japanese slat wall with concealed doors
A custom tongue-and-groove profile allowed the wall to flow from vertical surface to ceiling - hiding fasteners and hiding doors at the same time. Yes, both.

Backlit shoji-style feature walls
Traditional rice paper look, commercial durability underneath. Plexiglass panels with shoji-style overlays delivered the glow without the fragility.

Design-flexible construction delivery
Having millwork capability close to site meant quick pivots, real-time prototyping, and fewer “we’ll need two weeks for that” conversations.

Retail-ready durability
Every detail was built to hold up to daily traffic while maintaining Lexus-level finish expectations.

Collaboration That Kept Things Moving

Projects like this only work when builders and designers stay closely aligned. Our team worked alongside Lexus, WA Office, and all of the consultants throughout construction, adapting details as the space evolved and keeping the design intent intact from concept to completion. Turns out precision and flexibility can live in the same room.

The Result

Canada’s first Lexus EV showroom - and a strong example of what automotive retail construction in Vancouver looks like when thoughtful design meets precise execution. A clean, high-performance space built around detail, alignment, and craftsmanship from start to finish. Exactly the kind of build we like getting our hands on.
