Every once in a while, a project comes along that’s unlike anything else. For Pacific, that project was Mount Pleasant Vintage & Provisions - a restaurant, bar, and thrift store all wrapped up in one unforgettable hospitality concept.

Located in the Conwest HOUSS development and anchored by the historic Coulter House, this project combined heritage redevelopment with bold, fresh design. With two patios totalling 1,400 square feet, soaring 24-foot ceilings, and nearly 2,800 square feet of interior space, it’s the kind of restaurant space that doesn’t come along often in Vancouver. When owner Cam Bogue found it, he knew he had found his unicorn.

A Concept Vancouver Has Never Seen Before

Everything about Mount Pleasant Vintage & Provisions was designed to stand out. The idea? Create something wild, fun, and unexpected.

Guests walk into a space filled with vintage treasures, but this isn’t just décor - it’s “marketecture.” Every piece on display is actually for sale, blurring the lines between restaurant and thrift store. Add in an open flame grill right in the middle of the dining room, and you’ve got a dining experience that’s as surprising as it is memorable.

The menu takes the same playful approach: rotating daily proteins, nostalgic classics like tater tots and happy-hour hot dogs, and drinks like the Crystal Clear Long Island Iced Tea that make you feel like a kid in a candy shop - with a grown-up twist.

Construction Challenges We Loved Solving

Delivering a project this unique meant solving a few challenges along the way:

  • The Open Flame Grill
Very few kitchens in Vancouver are designed with an open flame grill at their heart. From concept to execution, it required technical planning, careful permitting, and expert coordination to bring this feature to life - and we couldn’t be more “fired up” about the result.

  • The Walnut Wood Back Bar
The retro-inspired walnut back bar shelving was built in pieces at The Shop at Pacific and then assembled on site. The craftsmanship anchors the heart of the bar and gives the space its distinct vintage feel.

A Hospitality Experience Like No Other

The result is a hospitality space that feels completely fresh in Vancouver. Mount Pleasant Vintage & Provisions combines bold design, heritage architecture, and playful functionality into an environment that makes guests want to explore, stay, and come back for more.

From the nostalgic menu to the unique thrift-store-meets-bar concept, every detail contributes to an experience that’s as much about discovery as it is about dining.
